An estate sauna is a siting project, not just joinery: sun orientation, prevailing wind, distance from the main house and the wet path to the tub. We deliver the whole set: guided foundation, sauna house, deck, ice tub and path lighting.
Built for Brazilian weather
- Cumaru and thermally modified timber on exposed faces - decades of sun and rain without rot.
- Metal roof with a generous overhang: the timber wall barely ever sees water.
- Raised footings: the base breathes, termites and damp never touch it.
- Electric Harvia or wood-fired heater - on estates, the firewood ritual has a loyal audience.
See the Porto Feliz estate project: a 6-person sauna house, two cedar barrels and a pergola, from sketch to first session in 11 weeks.
Electric or wood-fired?
Electric starts from your phone and needs no chimney; wood-fired has the ritual and runs off-grid. On estates, 60% choose wood - we draw the chimney and the log store into the design.
Do I need a permit?
A light, demountable structure on private land rarely does - but we check your rural condominium's or municipality's rules together with the design.
